Project Engineer

Susana Maciel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fresno and is a licensed Engineer-in-Training in the State of California. While in school, she was Co-Founder and President of the American Public Works Association (APWA) Student Chapter and gained experience in civil engineering through her internships with Fresno County, City of Clovis, and JLB Traffic Engineering, Inc. Susana has three years of experience and serves JLB as a Project Engineer preparing electrical design projects for Caltrans District 6, providing quality assurance and quality control, preparing proposals, designing and modifying traffic signals, designing pedestrian High-intensity Activated crossWalK (HAWK) signals, designing temporary traffic control plans, analyzing traffic impacts for public and private development projects, conducting traffic operational analysis of study intersections utilizing Synchro software, conducting intersection turning movement counts, preparing figures for traffic impact analysis reports, designing parking lots, preparing collision diagrams and analysis and preparing multi-way STOP and traffic signal warrants pursuant to the guidelines of the latest edition of the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Susana is Treasurer and Outreach Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) San Joaquin Valley Chapter.
