Community Involvement

JLB strongly believes in giving back to the community. Our goal is to have a positive impact on the communities that we serve and make a difference through personal and firm sponsored activities.

California State University, Fresno – Senior Mentoring Program

JLB volunteers their time to assist and mentor senior civil engineering students at California State University, Fresno with their design projects. JLB has provided advice to several students who’s design focus has been in traffic engineering.

California State University, Fresno – Senior Project Judge

JLB volunteers as judge to the California State University, Fresno senior design project presentations.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church – ADA Ramp Project

JLB staff volunteered their services to design and help construct an accessible ramp and stairway for the St. Mary’s Catholic Church rectory office located at 828 South “O” Street in the City of Sanger. The design was reviewed and approved by the City of Sanger. Upon approval of the design, JLB’s staff also volunteered their time to help build the ramp and stairway.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Parking Lot Design

JLB staff is currently volunteering their services to design a parking lot for St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at the northeast corner of North Avenue and Bethel Avenue in the City of Sanger. As part of the parking lot design, drainage will be improved, parking lot lighting will be increased, a dual bin trash enclosure will be added, raised medians will be added to protect lighting standards, a student drop-off aisle will be added and trees will be added to provide additional shading. These items will be added all while improving circulation.
